Kareena Kapoor, the Bollywood actress, wants her son Taimur Ali Khan to become a cricketer. She has revealed the same on quite a few instances. Taimur’s grandfather Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was one of the greatest cricketers to have ever played for India. He also captained the Indian cricket team with dignity. Tiger Pataudi passed away in 2011 at the age of 70.
During an interview back in 2018, Kareena said that she wished for Taimur to become a cricketer like his grandfather when he grows up. “Well, I would want Taimur to be a cricketer,” she had said. Then again, on a dance reality show, she mentioned the same after playing a game with the legendary Kapil Dev.
In the meantime, Kareena uploaded a photo where Taimur can be seen playing cricket with a bunch of other kids. She also funnily asked if there’s a place for his son in any of the teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Kareena captioned the picture and wrote, “Any place in the IPL? I can play too.”
Here’s Kareena Kapoor’s post:
The 2020 edition of the IPL is currently taking place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after being shifted out of India due to the massive coronavirus outbreak. The tournament was initially set to be played from March, but had to be postponed for an indefinite time period. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) managed to eke out a window somehow.
Kareena celebrating her birthday
Back in October, the veteran actress celebrated her 40th birthday with her friends and family. Before the auspicious occasion, she also dropped a big note, expressing gratitude.
“As I enter my 40th year… I want to sit back, reflect, love, laugh, forgive, forget and most importantly pray and thank the strongest force up there for giving me the strength and thank my experiences and decisions for making me the woman I am… Some right, some wrong, some great, some not so… but still, hey BIG 40 make it BIG,” her post read.
Kareena is currently pregnant, but she has gone to Delhi to shoot for her next movie, Laal Singh Chaddha, also starring Amir Khan. She wanted to do a chunk of the film before she became too ‘big’ for it.
