On Sunday, October 11, a 16-year-old teenager was detained for allegedly delivering derogatory and unmentionable comments against MS Dhoni’s daughter Ziva. The youngster confessed of posting a shameful message on Instagram after the match between the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Ranchi Police shared the information with the Kutch police and asked for confirmation if he was the one, posting the comments. On Sunday, the police also said that teenager would be taken into custody by the Ranchi police. Security at Dhoni’s home has also been tightened.

“The Class 12 student from Namna Kapaya village was detained for questioning in connection with a disgusting threat message that was posted on the Instagram account of Mr Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Dhoni a few days back,” senior police officer Saurabh Singh was quoted as saying to the reporters.

“We detained him for questioning after Ranchi Police informed us that the accused hails from Mundra in Kutch district. We have confirmed that the boy is the same who had posted the message. He will be handed over to Ranchi police as the FIR was lodged in that city,” he added.

Madhavan delighted after MS Dhoni and Ziva get justice

In the meantime, veteran Bollywood actor R Madhavan was a happy man after the culprit was caught. He said that people can’t be going away after dropping insulting comments on the social media platforms.

He took to Twitter and wrote, “Teenager Detained for Issuing Threats Against MS Dhoni’s Daughter: Police Great job .. time to clamp down and put the fear of law and god on these faceless monsters who think they can do and say what they want on the internet. Even if they are teens.”

Dhoni and his team, CSK are going through a rough phase in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). Having lost five of their first seven matches, the Yellow Army are placed in the bottom-half of the point table. Dhoni’s own form hasn’t been great either as he has faltered to take his team over the line on quite a few instances. CSK will next be facing the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday.
