Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) losing to the Mumbai Indians (MI) led to the experts including former India cricketer Aakash Chopra criticising the management a lot. He questioned Jimmy Neesham’s place in the team who didn’t do much in the chances he got. Moreover, Chopra, in a video on his Youtube channel, also went on to say that the New Zealand all-rounder isn’t a match-winner.

After coming across Aakash Chopra’s comments, Neesham hilariously took a dig at the former’s T20 stats and stated that the numbers weren’t match winning either. However, the cricketer-turned-commentator took it sportingly and came up with calm response while saying that he gets paid for something else nowadays. He also said that teams stopped picking him in T20s due to those poor numbers only.

In the process, Jimmy Neesham responded to a couple of fans who asked him to concentrate on his cricket rather than being on social media. As far as his performance in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) is concerned, he has scored only 7 runs in the only innings he batted while picking a wicket in the 10 overs he bowled.

Jimmy Neesham dropped against CSK

Meanwhile, after a poor show against MI, Jimmy Neesham expectedly was dropped from the playing XI against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday. The KL Rahul-led side made three changes as they brought in Chris Jordan in the line-up to strengthen their death bowling. Aakash Chopra, after the toss, took to Twitter to inform his followers about the changes KXIP made.

After coming across the tweet, the social media gimmicks hilariously trolled Jimmy Neesham and many concluded Chopra had the last laugh in the banter. However, despite making so many changes, the result didn’t change for KXIP as Jordan was taken for a lot of runs by CSK batsmen, Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson. They lost the game by 10 wickets and are languishing at the bottom of the points table having lost four out of five matches.
