Sri Lanka and RCB pacer, Isuru Udana, paid a great tribute to former Bengal bowler Ashok Dinda who is being constantly trolled by people for a decade now. Trollers don’t leave a single stone unturned to target him and poke fun at him.

What remains more disappointing is the fact that people still use his name to mock a bowler when he gets smacked terribly by the batter. The Bengal legend featured in IPL for the inaugural edition till 2017.

He appeared for five teams throughout his journey, and some of them include Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders. He made a mark in the game in his early years but went on to struggle as the years passed by.

It gave more sparks to the trollers, and every time a bowler leaks some runs, they call him a ‘part of Ashok Dinda academy’. The mockery has reached to such an extent where Dinda himself had to speak up about his records and contribution in the game.

However, his explanation hasn’t made much difference so far, and ‘Dinda Academy’ jokes keep doing rounds on the internet. While people don’t know what amount of hard work and struggle it takes to become a bowler, a fellow bowler definitely knows the hardships involved in the journey. In the same light, Udana, who made his debut for RCB in the Super Over thriller against Mumbai Indians, got vocal about the matter.

He took to his Instagram and posted a heart-touching tribute for the Bengal star. He posted an excerpt from an interview where Dinda spilled beans on his struggles involved in his cricket journey. Udana wrote– “This man got more than 400 wickets in first class. Never judge someone without knowing the whole story. You may think you understand, but you don’t.”
